Mark your calendars, Drifters — the 2026 Denver Fly Fishing Show is coming up February 6–8 at the Gaylord Hotel, and HPD is back in action! Once again, we’re partnering with Fly Fishers International (FFI) to make this year’s show the best one yet.
The Fly Fishing Show is one of the biggest events of the year, bringing together anglers, guides, fly tiers, and gear junkies from across the country — and HPD will be right in the mix. We’ll be volunteering in several key areas, and we could use your help to make our presence shine.
Volunteers are needed for:
• Casting Instruction – Help visitors learn the fundamentals and refine their form using the FFI teaching framework.
• Fly Tying Demos – Share your favorite patterns, tips, and tricks with anglers eager to learn new skills.
• Knot Tying & Breaking Booth – Teach essential knots, then let folks test their strength on HPD’s Knot Breaker — always a crowd favorite!
It’s a great way to give back to the sport, represent our club, and meet anglers from all over. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or an entire day, your time makes a big difference.
To get involved or learn more, contact Jeff Johnson @ President@flyfisherscolorado.com. — he’s coordinating HPD’s volunteer schedule and can answer any questions.
Let’s show everyone why the High Plains Drifters are one of the most active and passionate clubs in Fly Fishers International. See you at the Gaylord!
