Join us for an outstanding summer day at Joe Wright Reservoir on August 2, 2026, focused on one of the most enjoyable ways to fish—dry flies for Arctic Grayling.

We’ll meet at the lake at 9:00 AM and spend the day targeting cruising fish that are eager to eat on the surface. This trip is all about relaxed presentations, watching fish rise, and dialing in classic dry-fly tactics. Terrestrials—especially beetles—will be high on the menu, so come ready for visual takes and plenty of action.

Anglers are welcome to fish however they’re most comfortable—wading, float tubes, or kayaks are all permitted. Whether you prefer covering shoreline water or exploring the lake from a tube or kayak, there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day.

We’ll break for lunch at noon, shore side. I’ll bring the grill and the main course—you bring a side dish and your favorite beverage. Good food, good company, and a beautiful setting make this a perfect mid-summer club outing.
