October Membership Meeting

Join us for the High Plains Drifters monthly meeting on October 21 at New Image Brewery!

Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

Technology is rapidly changing the way anglers prepare, learn, navigate, and spend time on the water—but is every new advancement truly an improvement?

Club member Kenneth W. will explore the good, the bad, and the latest technology trends shaping modern fly fishing. Whether you embrace every new gadget or prefer to keep things traditional, this presentation will offer an informative and balanced look at how technology is influencing the sport.

We’re also pleased to welcome Stephen Balogh, owner of White River Trout Club, who will join us to discuss HPD’s upcoming trip to the White River.

The trip is scheduled for March 10–14, 2027, and includes four nights and three guided fishing days. Stephen will give us a firsthand look at White River Trout Club, the fishing experience, accommodations, guides, trip logistics, and what members can expect during their stay.

There will also be time for questions, so whether you’re already planning to attend, considering the trip, or simply curious about fishing the White River, this is a great opportunity to hear directly from the club’s owner.

We hope to see you there!
