September Guest Speaker – Jeff Powles

Join High Plains Drifters for our September meeting as we welcome Jeff Powles of FishOn Colorado and RiverBum.com.

Jeff will be discussing fishing the Upper Colorado River during the fall season, with a focus on approaching the river from a boat. He’ll cover changing fall conditions, reading and fishing the river effectively from a drift boat or raft, and how to adjust your approach as water temperatures and flows change.

Jeff will also break down his favorite flies and techniques for the Upper Colorado in the fall, including what patterns to carry, where to fish them, and how to get the most out of a day on the water.

Whether you're planning an upcoming float or simply want to become a better Upper Colorado angler, this will be a great opportunity to pick up practical information from someone who spends a lot of time on the water.
